No, really! I'm not repeating positive affirmations to boost my self-esteem; I just found out that I won a drawing! I'm particularly excited because unlike my mom, who has really good contest luck, I can't remember ever winning a drawing before.
The contest was held on the blog Automatism, which I regularly visit because it's a sure dose of beauty on any given day. Go check it out; you can see the post announcing me (!) as the winner of a cute plush animal of my choice from Danielle, the artist behind the Etsy shop Stitchface.

While you're visiting Automatism, consider joining The Benevolent Postcard Society, a collaborative art project in which participants will exchange one postcard per month for a year with randomly chosen strangers, starting on September 1st. At the end of the year, Automatism's author, Lori, will gather the postcards and display them at a gallery in her home city, Ottawa.
