1. Ikea success. I found the small set of drawers I was seeking for my office, as well as assorted bins and boxes for organizing things at home and work. Organizing makes me so happy. Daisy found, among other things, an adorable changing table/cabinet for Julia. Together we capably wrestled boxes onto our carts and then into the car. I was well-fortified by my much-anticipated lunch.
2. Peachy-perfect roses. Love at first sight in the Trader Joe's floral section. Regular roses always feel a bit formal to me, but I love these spray roses. I'm especially enamored with how the delicate peach petals edge into palest green.
3. Discovery in the dairy aisle. Martha Stewart Living describes this butter as the "dark horse" in its taste tests, winning out over European butters. It also won first prize twice at the World Dairy Expo, which I'd never heard of but still find impressive. This weekend, I was pleasantly surprised to stumble across Kate's Homemade Butter in my very run-of-the-mill supermarket. I tried some on a biscuit yesterday. Delicious.
