scenes from my parents' neighborhood
Remember how I mentioned a while back that my parents planned to move to Hawaii? Well, here's their new neighborhood!
The orchids were my mom's acquisition from the "swap meet," the local version of a flea market. She proudly mentioned having bought all four of them for twenty dollars.
The last picture shows my dad in front of a lagoon they visit on their daily walk.

The "fan palm" is actually a "traveler's palm" originally from Madagascar. We are loving our new neighborhood, Hawaii's climate, the beach, and our new home!
